National Curriculum for Keystage 3
Science offers pupils an opportunity to question and better understand themselves and the world around them. Through studying Science pupils develop skills such as team work, critical thinking and evaluating that will be valuable to them throughout their entire lives.
Pupils at Sanders School are taught how to apply their learning in the classroom to the outside world and to appreciate how the theories and concepts they learn have wide ranging and reaching effects.
Success in Science prepares and allows pupils to progress along a variety of pathways both academic and vocational. The skills developed through studying Science are appealing to employers as they demonstrate both practical and intellectual abilities.
At Sanders School the Science Department's aim is for all pupils to actively engage in their Science lessons and drive their progress onwards.
